Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

Most of my family is in education. Education is a way to help others reach their goals. Carthage is just a little over an hour from Starkville, so it was nothing to take a school trip up here once or twice a year. Because of the numerous trips to Mississippi State, I just naturally felt at home on campus. 

What do you want people to know about you?

I have been to every home women's basketball game the past 2 years.

What activities were you involved in on campus outside of METP?

I was an equipment manager for baseball. 

What advice would you give entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

Develop time management skills. Having good grades is important, and so is developing a network. You need to set specific times to complete homework and study. Be sure to complete homework before going out because it probably will not get completed after you come back.
