Where are you now?

Why did you choose to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I chose to come to MSU because it felt like home. Everyone I met in the college of education was helpful and encouraging. Getting a scholarship was just icing on the cake. 

What do you want people to know about you?

I love MSU and I feel l have learned a lot that will make a great teacher! 

How has the METP enhanced college experience?

One the most basic level, it has eased some of my worries. Knowing I am financially okay is a relief. Also knowing that I can go without a job leaves me more time to focus on my studies. METP has also given me one of my new best friends as well as peers to work with and struggle through classes with and older students to help us decide on which courses to take and which teachers are the best. The METP group has become a great support system as well as a great group of friends.

What are some on campus involvements outside of METP? 

Famous Maroon Band, Mortar Board National Honor Society, and Mississippi State Association of Educators. 

What advice woudl you give to enterting freshmen or students finishing up high school?

Try new things! Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. You never who or what might be an amazing experience.
