Tell us about yourself.
My name is Sara Todd Hall and I am a graduate of Terry High School Class of 2013. I am a graduate of Mississippi State University and the Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program.
My passion for teaching arose from the great instructors I had the privilege of studying under during my middle and high school years. Teachers that went out of their way to explain complicated problems or expand my thoughts on a difficult writing topic are the people who inspired me to reach out to the future generations that will fill the schools of Mississippi. Teachers from my school years not only helped me with various school related topics, but in real life difficulties that plagued me and affected my schoolwork. I took advantage of an opportunity to help teach an art class for a week in the summer of 2012. That week led me to the conclusion that teaching was the profession for my future. Helping students overcome their reading and writing issues were situations I looked forward to tackling in my profession. I also strived to be the listening ear and open mind that many students were looking for in those complicated, drama-filled high school years. Some of my hobbies included singing, creating art, playing piano, and participating in church activities.
