Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I grew up a Bulldog fan, so it only made sense to further my education at the best institute in the nation! I chose to pursue a degree in education because I adore working with students. I love watching students think, learn, serve one another, problem-solve, and I love facilitating discussions that happen in the classroom. As much as teaching is a gift, it is also my ministry, and I am eager to enter the field of Special Education knowing the students who enter my classroom will leave feeling loved. 

What do you want people to know about you?

My inspiration for choosing Special Education for my major is my older brother, Chandler. He has Down Syndrome and has no doubt been the best teacher I’ve ever had, and I want to serve others like him just as he’s served me.
