Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I have always wanted to be a teacher and felt a calling to work with students that have disabilities. When I learned about this program at Mississippi State and first visited, I knew that this was the perfect place for me to pursue this! 

What do you want people to know about you?

I enjoy singing and listening to music. I crochet in my free time and love making stuffed animals to give to my friends! I am a huge geek: Star Wars, Marvel, Lord of the Rings, etc. are all things I enjoy taking interest in.  

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

You will meet some of the best people and experience some of the best things when you get to college. Do not be afraid to branch out and meet new people! If you need help with anything, there will always be people there to help, so ask. Remember, many of the people around you are also new, you are not alone, even if you feel like you are.
