Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I’ve always loved the community surrounding MSU. Every time I visited the campus, I felt at home.  As for education, music is one of the only things that have ever truly resonated with me. Through the opportunities that I have had to teach music to others, I immediately knew that it was what I wanted to do with my future.

What do you want people to know about you?

I have a deep love for everything music, and I have always loved teaching things to others (regardless of how bad I am at it).  I am excited to spend my next 4 years at MSU learning how to teach the next generation of youth!

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

Breathe. Don’t let yourself get too freaked out about how many things that you have to do. It’ll all work itself out if you take everything one step at a time. Make sure to do as much as you can, because you don’t want to miss out on any opportunities. Also, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!
