Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, and as I’ve spent time volunteering with middle school aged children, I learned that that I love them and that is the age I wanted to teach! I decided to come to MSU because as soon as I decided to even look at the website, it felt like home and everything has fallen into place since then!

What do you want people to know about you?

I want people to know that I love to have a good time and to laugh! I take my school work seriously, so on the surface, I might come off a little boring, but I promise I love to laugh and enjoy the mundane moments!

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

Cherish it! It really is so true that high school goes by so fast, so be intentional with your friendships and your family because soon, everything will be changing. This is such a bittersweet time, but so exciting at the same time. Be present with those around you and don’t get too caught up in the stress of preparing for college!
