Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I've always known that I wanted to be a teacher, and when my older brother received this scholarship his senior year, it not only introduced me to this amazing program, it also introduced me to State. While visiting Starkville for football games or just on a random weekend, I have always felt at home. The small town feel while also being at an SEC school is something I look forward to experiencing everyday!

What do you want people to know about you?

I am a FOURTH generation teacher!

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

Find your home and be involved. High school is only as fun as you make it. Join or start a club and find people you share common interests with. Enjoy it while it lasts!
