Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

Honestly, MSU was one of the last schools I thought I'd end up at.  For some reason, I decided to tour the campus.  I immediately loved the community MSU had.  The faculty and students made me feel welcome from the start.  I looked into the College of Education and METP, and I decided this was absolutely the best school for me.

What do you want people to know about you?

As a self-proclaimed science geek, I love animals and plants!  I have a pet leopard gecko and WAY too many plants.  One of the things I hope for the most is to be known as the weird teacher with the snake in his classroom.

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

College is so much more different from high school.  In college, you won't have your parents reminding you to study for your test or waking you up for class.  You have to be responsible for your own education.  That means you have to learn to study, and you HAVE to go to class.
