Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I decided I wanted to come to MSU before I even knew I wanted to pursue a degree in education.  I was unsure of a major at the time, but I knew MSU would provide me with a quality education regardless.  Once I decided on education, the choice became even more obvious.  MSU provides students with amazing opportunities that are impossible to ignore. METP made it possible to pursue a degree in education at my dream school.

What do you want people to know about you?

From the outside I may seem blunt and introverted, but I'm actually pretty extroverted and love talking with friends.  It just takes me a second to get to know you!  I love being outside and feel my best in the woods or kayaking.

Who has had the biggest impact on your life?  Tell me why.

My teachers have had the biggest impact on my life.  My teachers inspired me and instilled a love for learning and school at an early age; school was a home away from home.  Their influence and kindness ultimately encouraged me to pursue a career in education.  I hope that I can have the same impact on someone as they had on me.

What activites were you involved in?

I was a member of the marching band and became more involved on campus in other areas.
