Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

Ever since I was a little girl I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I have always loved math, and I felt like the Lord was leading me to be a math teacher. My mom graduated from MSU, so she was a big influence on my decision. When I went to MSU for preview day, I fell in love with the campus. Everyone I met that day was so warm and inviting!

What do you want people to know about you?

Most of the time I come across as a shy person at first, but I love being around people. I love traveling; I went to Paris the summer of 2017. Most importantly, I’m a child of God, and I strive to shine my light for Him daily.

Who has had the biggest impact on your life? Why?

My 7th & 8th grade math teacher, Mrs. Kayla Weir. Since my grade had her for two years she really took us under her wing. She is one of those teachers that you can go to with any problems and she will be there for you.
