Where are you now?

Terry High School, Terry, MS

Why did you choose to come to MSU?

I came to MSU because they put the best and brightest people into the workforce. My desire to be an educator is cliche, but real nonetheless. I want to change the world. If I can make just the slightest difference in the life of a student, I will have done my job.

How did the METP enhance your college experience at Mississippi State?

It greatly helped me get out of my comfort zone and interact with others, as well as build professional skills. It also allowed me to purse my dream of changing the world. If I can make just the slightest difference in the life of a student, I'll have done my job.

What do you want people to know about you?

I want people to know that I prioritize creativity, relationships, and social issues.

What were some of your other involvements on campus?

I was a member of MSU's Black Student Association, MSU Spectrum, and the University Student Center.

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

Don't prioritize schoolwork over your mental health. Take a day for yourself and relax once in a while. Never leave bed, eat dark chocolate, and light a candle. You deserve a break.
