Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I had toured MSU with my sister when she was deciding where she wanted to attended colleg,e and I fell in love with the campus and immediately knew that’s where I wanted to be! I had always felt like my calling was to serve others in some way and after working a summer camp at a local elementary school the summer before my senior year, I knew I wanted to be a teacher!

What do you want people to know about you?

I loved my Freshman year at MSU more than I could have imagined and met so many amazing people! Some of these amazing people are members of METP and greatly encouraged me to learn more about the program. I wanted to try new things and put myself out there more so I applied for this program as well as various other opportunities at MSU, including a study abroad! I am excited for the next three years at Mississippi State and whatever may come afterwards!
