Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

My family was stationed at Columbus Air Force Base for several years. We moved there right before I started fifth grade; we left the summer before I went to high school. Every other place we moved, I didn't mind and was usually quite excited to go some place new. Mississippi, however, I came to find was and is my home, and moving away was one of the hardest things I'd ever gone through. A huge part of this was the school, teachers, and coaches I had while I was there. I decided to come to State because I wanted to come back home. I want to be a teacher because I want to give students the positive effects my teachers had on me.

What do you want people to know about you?

I am involved with the MSU Co-ed Cheerleaders here on campus and am loving being a part of this group!
