Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I chose to major in education to pursue my passions for equal educational opportunity and to help positively impact Mississippi's future in public education. Every experience my family and I have had at MSU during my college search and application process has been outstanding. The student leaders, especially, have shown to be nothing less than extraordinary in their helpfulness, compassion, and clear enthusiasm for their school. With such incredible opportunities for involvement, and such a respected education program, I had no choice but to choose MSU!

What do you want people to know about you?

I am so excited to use the chapter of my life at MSU to grow not only academically, but also in my character and leadership! I am so thankful for the opportunities that God has given me through METP to pursue my dreams.

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

While it is important to soak up the special moments of senior year, it is so worth it to prioritize college applications and explore scholarship opportunities early! The earlier you put in the work, the less likely you'll be held back by the dreaded senior-itis.
