Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?
Mississippi State has a warm, inviting, and uplifting community feel to it that is unlike any of the other colleges I visited. I want to become a teacher whose classroom has those same qualities, and I knew that pursuing my degree at Mississippi State would be the best place to teach me how to accomplish that.
What do you want people to know about you?
I want people to know that I am a genuine, God loving person that strives to be a light in other's lives. I love to make friends with everyone, learn from others, and experience new things and places.
What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?
To any graduating seniors or entering freshman, my advice to you is to soak it all in! As exciting as college and moving away is, remember to cherish your time at home with your friends, family, and school. High school is a special time in your life that you can't go back to, so soak in every last pep-rally, sports event, car ride to school with your sibling, and conversation with your favorite teacher. After graduation, you'll never be in the same place as all of the teachers and classmates you've grown up with again, so don't waste your time wishing it all away!
