Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?
Mississippi State was the first college I visited on my search to find my future school. I immediately fell in love with the campus and the people, but I knew that you couldn't choose the first school you visited. So, for the next year, I visited multiple other schools. When it came down to picking my favorite, no other school made me feel as at home as MSU did. I have always loved school, and I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else than in a classroom, pouring into the lives of others, just like my teachers once did for me. I knew MSU was the right school to teach me how to make an impact in the lives of the future generations.
What do you want people to know about you?
If I am comfortable, I love to talk. I am a people person at heart and genuinely want to get to know others. I have love for a wide range of music from 70s and 80s, worship, and Broadway, to Taylor Swift! I love getting involved with different groups, and I am looking forward to spending the next four years at MSU!
What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?
My hope for others is that they will learn to love the life they live. Life is hard when you sit on the sidelines and watch it fly by. I have learned to enjoy every minute, even when it is hard. Spend your time living and learning and not just watching.
