Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

Choosing MSU was an easy choice for me because I was pursuing an engineering degree at the time, and it was an SEC school! Win, win! However, I always grew up wanting to become a teacher. I decided to switch majors and pursue a degree in education because I truly enjoy helping other people learn, and I love math! Also, the youth are our future; I want to play a positive role in that!

What do you want people to know about you?

I love Jesus, sports, breakfast foods, and learning!!!

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

Do not let what others are doing or not doing discourage you from where you want to go to school or what you want to become.  Pursue something that you are truly passionate about, and then, you will find success. A good, genuine community of people will cheer you on whatever that path may look like, too!
