Tell us about yourself. 

I am a graduate of Hancock High School in a small town on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in English. Ever since I was a small child, I knew that a career in education was the career for me. Both of my parents are high school teachers, and they inspired me to become a teacher myself. I grew up seeing my mom and dad work hard every day, but I also grew up seeing satisfaction in their faces each and every day. I learned early in my high school career how much pride and joy comes from teaching students and seeing them succeed. It seems to be a very rewarding job, and I am overjoyed to have this wonderful opportunity to pursue it.
